November 2nd 2001 - Irish Examiner - Cormac O’ Keeffe.

Alan Brady had queued since 4.45am yesterday to have his choice of paintings from one of Ireland’s Artists… The artist Paul Kelly 33 from Dublin is one of the top contemporary Irish painters. At his last show, all 70 of his paintings sold in a matter of minutes…Gallery owner James Gorry said that by 6.20pm most of the paintings had been sold. The exhibition, entitled New Horizons, was tow and half years in the making.

The paintings are set largely in Kelly’s local north Dublin area, concentration on harbour views, but also depict landscapes in other counties such as Kerry as well as a snow scene from Prague in the Czech Republic……..

Artist Mark O’ Neill said Kelly as a special painter “I just look at the way he paints water, his trademark, the boats, and think there’s no one else that con do it quite like him”.
